Tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary at Te Papa

A tribute to Sir Edmund Hillary will be in place on Level 2 of Te Papa from Wednesday 16 January.

The tribute will feature a bronze bust of Sir Edmund by British artist Ophelia Gordon Bell created in 1953 and a tribute book for visitor to convey their memories and condolences to the Hillary family.

Te Papa is also planning to screen the state funeral proceedings live on Tuesday 22 January.
