Too windy at SOF Hyeres Regatta

As predicted a strong Mistral wind meant racing on day three at French Olympic Sailing Week in Hyeres was abandoned.

Officials did their best to squeeze in a fifth race for some fleets, but the increasing wind hampered their attempts and racing was abandoned for the day. The larger fleets will be divided in Gold and Silver groups on Wednesday and two to three races are planned if the weather allows.

The forecast predicts that the wind will ease and Wednesday in Hyeres will produce 15 – 20 knots of wind which should allow racing to resume. The regatta concludes in France on Friday.
