Flight of the Conchords receive 4 Emmy nominations!

The NZ Comedy Guild would like to congratulate Flight of the Conchords on receiving 4 nominations for the 60th Primetime Emmy Awards, which will take place on September 21.

Their self-titled show received nominations for Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and 2 nominations for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics - categories that they share with shows like The Office, Entourage, Pushing Daisies and 30 Rock.

Their complete list of nominations is:
Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series - for episode "Sally Returns"
Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series - for episode "Yoko"
Original Music and Lyrics - "The Most Beautiful Girl (In the Room)"
Original Music and Lyrics - "Inner City Pressure"
