Big Wednesday Millions Won in Papakura

Big Wednesday Millions Won in Papakura

Big Wednesday's top prize package worth almost $3 million has been struck tonight by a lucky ticket-holder in Papakura, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

"Big Wednesday's First Division has been struck an amazing seven times this year, and this is the third time the Big Wednesday top prize package has been won in the past two months."

"Just four weeks ago, a lucky MyLotto player from the Hawkes Bay became our first online millionaire and won a $2.6 million prize package," says Mr McLeay.

The winning ticket sold at Papakura Countdown has won a total prize package worth $2,997,140 made up of:

- $2 million; - an Aston Martin V8 Vantage; - an Audi Q7; - a $250,000 American Express Platinum card; - a $250,000 luxury travel package; - and a Rayglass Legend 2500 boat.

Mr McLeay's advice for this week's Big Wednesday winner is to write their name and address on their ticket as soon as possible, confirming ownership.

"They should then contact NZ Lotteries' Wellington office on (04) 802 7000, and we can provide advice about the next steps to take," he says.

Tonight's other winner was a lucky Napier player who has won $25,000 in Big Wednesday's Second Chance draw.

Every ticket bought for tonight's draw was entered in the Second Chance draw. The prize won was determined by the H or T selection on the first line of the ticket. As the ticket selection did not match the coin toss in the draw, the ticket holder has won $25,000.

The winning ticket was sold at Andrew Spence Pharmacy in Napier. The winning serial number is 057-000286982-13XX.

"Anyone who bought a ticket at any of these winning retailers should check it immediately," says Mr McLeay.

There were a total of 45,392 winners from tonight's draw.
