Council of Christians and Jews new Co-Chair

Wellington Council of Christians and Jews elect new Co-Chair

The Wellington Council of Christians and Jews have elected a new Christian
Co-Chair, the Reverend Jenny Chalmers. She replaces the Reverend John McCaul,
who has stepped down after ten years as Christian Co-Chair, and joins Rabbi
Johanna Hershenon, the Jewish Co Chair.

Jenny Chalmers has been involved in interfaith relations for many years.
having been a member of the Council of Christians and Jews since 1993. Jenny
convened the Auckland Interfaith Council in 2003 and later served as
vice-chair.

Jenny, an Anglican Priest, is currently Vicar of Carterton.
