Burst Into Stardom As The Tv Face Of Clean & Clear

Media release September 22, 2008

Burst Into Stardom As The Tv Face Of Clean & Clear®

Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Drew Barrymore and Lindsay Lohan all launched their careers on the small screen – now you too can have a shot at fame simply by having fun with your friends!

Clean & Clear® Morning Burst is offering you and your best friend the chance to star in your very own TV commercial and all you have to do is create a wacky way to wake-up in the morning!

Forget countless auditions, callbacks, long hours and lots of hard work – with the Clean & Clear Burst Into Stardom competition you’ll fast track your way to success, becoming overnight TV stars and of course have fun while you’re doing it!

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for you and a friend to follow in the footsteps of some of the world’s biggest superstars who got their big breaks in acting through television commercials.

A-List actor Brad Pitt starred in a jeans advertisement and Charlie’s Angels star Drew Barrymore was awarded her famous role in ET: after being spotted on a dog food ad!

Now it’s your turn to take the spotlight! You and your bestie need to submit a 20 – 45 second video that captures the essence of a morning routine, a wacky way to wake-up or an idea that illustrates “I’m not a morning person”.

If you can’t get your hands on a video camera then don’t worry – you can also get snapping with your digital camera. A series of photos with an accompanying story can also be submitted.

The Burst Into Stardom winner and her best friend will be whisked away (during the Christmas school holidays) to film the television advertisement which will screen nationwide on MTV!

As the faces of Clean & Clear Morning Burst you’ll get to show the rest of New Zealand how to have a refreshing and energising start to each day – the Clean & Clear way – with your own creative way to wake up.

In addition to lighting up the small screen you and your best friend will also receive a shopping spree and take part in a professional photo-shoot to appear in magazines – so you’ll feel like a true celebrity!

Grab your best friend, start brainstorming about all the fun ways you can capture your ‘wacky wake up’ and enter the competition online at

You can also keep browsing the website to check out recent entries and maybe even get some ideas for your own video entry!

This exciting competition is open to all girls 14-years-old and over, but don’t forget if you’re under 18 you’ll need parental permission to upload videos on the above website and star in the national ad for Clean & Clear® Morning Burst.

Entries close December 7, 2008, so get filming now – you can enter as many times as you like !*Other competition Terms and Conditions apply – visit for full details.
