Nickelodeon NZ Launch New Look Website

Nickelodeon NZ Launch New Look Website http://nicknz.co.nz

The already popular Kiwi kid’s site has undergone a major transformation to accommodate the latest programme extras, games, entertainment and on-screen opportunities for kids all around NZ.

Nicknz.co.nz has established a real popularity with Kiwi kids, recording over 40,000 unique visitors in July 2008 and 3,000 new registrations added in that same month to their 30,000 strong registered user database. The relaunch of the site this week, complete with a new look and feel is tipped to only increase its already overwhelming popularity and success.

As a place specially created for Kiwi kids, nicknz.co.nz invites kids to get involved with the Nickelodeon channel, express themselves and above all, play! Home to loads of games, including the ‘Game of the Week’ feature the site will show exclusive ‘Behind the Scenes’ movies and trailers from popular shows like SpongeBob SquarePants.

“Nick’s dedicated website is another platform for us to connect to our audience. This vibrant and exciting new site offers us more opportunity to talk to our audience and provide a place where Kiwi kids and Nick fans will gather for all things Nickelodeon”, said Lauren Nola, Marketing Manager, New Zealand.

Short-form video is in abundance on the site with heaps more movies about Kiwi kids, including the popular ‘On My Turf’ vignettes from all around the country and opportunities online to apply to star on TV in these Nickelodeon NZ promotions.

Chat forums, Short Arts (where kids who send in their art can see it posted online), lots of avatars to choose from and a birthday countdown counter all add to the personalised experience and interactivity available to kids at the new nicknz.co.nz.

The new site was designed and built by Terabyte Interactive. Creative Director Steve Martin says, “We’re incredibly proud of the new nicknz.co.nz site – it shows that you can create a visually rich and accessible website without compromising on what really matters – interactivity, entertainment and slime!
