Fat Freddy’s Drop Announce Christchurch Show

Fat Freddy’s Drop Announce Christchurch Show

CatchFat Freddy’s Drop Live

SAT 25 October at The Civic

Catch Fat Freddy’s Drop live at The Civic, Christchurch for one show only as they prepare to unleash fresh tunes ahead of an overseas tour and the imminent release of a new album.

The last time the Wellington hi-tek soul collective played The Civic was in 2005, just as the band was set to make history with their debut album Based On A True Story. Since then they’ve been busy conquering the world, playing Glastonbury Festival and sell out shows in Europe and UK.

In-between tours, the band’s been working on their tans in the studio as they cook up a second full-length album, tentatively called Big BW. The Civic show will be the launch pad for many of the albums songs, and is sure to set the pace for Freddy’s regional tour across France and for shows in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Norwich, Lisbon, Berlin, Dublin & Copenhagen through November and December.

The live show at the Civic will be a great occasion to support the bros before they head off-shore, and to celebrate the October release of a new single, Pull The Catch. Freddy’s album to follow. Stay tuned for more.

Tickets $40 + Booking fee. On sale now from Cosmic Corner, Hunters & Collectors and the Civic.
