Huge weekend for punters - $300,000 must go!

Media Release 10 October 2008

Huge weekend for punters - $300,000 must go!

It will be huge weekend for racing and sport punters, with the TAB offering a $250,000 terminating Pick6 and the estimated $50,000 rugby pools also terminating - so this means the TAB will pay out $300,000 no matter what happens.

Saturday kicks off the excitement with $250,000 guaranteed to be handed out on the thoroughbred Matamata Cup Day. The Pick6 begins with Race 5 at 2.25pm as the first leg through to Race 10 at 5.48pm.

A Pick6 means picking the first horse to come in for each of the six races. If no one is able to pick all six winners, the prize pool will be shared between anyone who gets any five legs correct, in any order.

Punters can also win the full amount with a percentage Pick6 bet if they are the only ticket remaining with all six winners.

Rugby fans can also hit the money with the pool expected to hit $50,000 this weekend.

There are 10 games to keep track of across the Air New Zealand, Lochore and Mead Cups, and whoever picks the most results correctly will take home the spoils.

Like the Pick6, if no one hits them all then the full amount in the pool will be paid out on tickets counting back from any nine correct until it is struck.
