BEWARE! Billy's Back

BEWARE! Billy's Back

Outrageous comedian BILLY CONNOLLY announces that he's set to wreak havoc again in New Zealand.

The ribald Scotsman with a penchant for lycra, trikes and nude bungy jumping is bringing his whacky comedy show back in February and March.

He'll unleash his wit on Timaru on February 3 before heading off to Invercargill, Queenstown, Nelson, Christchurch, Wellington, Palmerston North, Napier, Rotorua, Taupo, New Plymouth, Hamilton and Auckland on March 1.

Tickets go on sale to the public on
Thursday, November 6 at 9am.
Booking details below.

Last time he was here, in 2004, he played to a record 64,000 people over 28 completely sold out shows.

The smallest was 450 in the Stewart Island Community Hall and the largest 16,000 over two nights at the Westpac Arena in Christchurch. All 64,000 seats sold out in under a week -- four months before his comedy juggernaut arrived on our soil. This set a record for any non-outdoor tour by an overseas artist and promoters are confident he will live up to his reputation again.

His visits to NZ are regrettably getting further apart as he spends so much time now as a movie star... so this tour, five years since the last, is a rare opportunity.

Connolly's reputation as a ribald and personable funny-man is unchallenged in the world of comedy. His show is never the same, and he delves deeply in to his day-to-day experiences to produce a whacky, unique and highly entertaining performance.

He is not the darling of the stuffy the bureaucratic or the politically-correct, and is famous for having his stunned audience rolling in the aisles within minutes of taking the stage.

The show has no interval - and slackers are advised that they arrive late at their own risk!

Ticket sales open Thursday 6 Nov at 9am nationwide
