Skycity And The A1GP World Cup Of Motorsport Deliver Grand Prix, Bond-Style Supercars To Aucklanders

SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre is set to host one of the most exclusive, luxury motor shows to ever come to New Zealand: The SKYCITY Supercar Show in partnership with A1GP World Cup of Motorsport - January 15-20, 2009.

SKYCITY has joined forces with the most innovative motor racing brand in the world today, A1GP, the latest concept in international grand prix, pitting nation against nation in the “World Cup of Motorsport”.

The SKYCITY Supercar Show in partnership with A1GP forms an exciting five-day lead-up to the New Zealand leg of the A1GP series taking place in Taupo on January 25, 2009.

In addition to showcasing a selection of racing machines including A1 Team New Zealand’s new Ferrari powered Black Beauty the exhibition will play host to the ‘Best in Breed’ of luxury lines including Aston Martin, Porsche, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, as well as the premium models from Audi, Jaguar, Range Rover and Lexus .

Entrance to the show at the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre costs $15 for adults and $5 for children.

Organisers are anticipating an exciting A1GP driver turnout, including New Zealand’s very own Chris van der Drift, one of the drivers of A1 Team New Zealand’s race car, Black Beauty.
