City Gallery event listings 30 Nov - 6 Dec

Events (valid week 30 Nov – 6 Dec):
Film Screening: Dutch Light
Wednesday 2 December, 10.15am, Adam Auditorium. Free Entry.
There’s an ancient belief that the light in Holland is different from anywhere else, but this has never been put to the test. Pieter-Rim and Maarten de Kroon’s award winning documentary film explores the significance, and mythologising of light in the Dutch painting tradition, turning looking into a new experience. Herself from a Dutch background, light has always been a key interest for artist Gerda Leenards, who’s exhibition Following the Blue Ribbon will be on display in the Michael Hirschfeld Gallery. An exquisite film for a Saturday morning. Film screening generously supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
