Kiwis Get Into The Action For This Year’s U.S. Kids’ Choice Awards

Kimberley Crossman heads to LA to cover the show

Win tickets to exclusive preview screening event in Auckland

NZ celeb Kimberley Crossman (of Shortland Street fame) is heading to the U.S. Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, to host Nickelodeon New Zealand’s Orange Carpet pre-show. The Orange Carpet pre-show will air prior to the awards show on Saturday 17 April @ 8pm (SKY channel 041) with repeats Sunday and Monday. Kimberley travels to Los Angeles in late March to interview celebrities on the Orange Carpet and take Kiwi kids behind-the-scenes; as well as completing ten challenges around L.A. set by Kiwi Nickheads.

Nickelodeon’s 23rd Annual Kids’ Choice Awards are hosted this year by movie and TV star Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop, The King of Queens). The slime will flow for the no-holds-barred mess-fest where kids get to honour their favourites from the worlds of music, sports, television – and possibly even politics.

From Friday 12th March, Nickheads can go online to www.nicknz.co.nz to register challenges for Kimberley to complete while she’s in L.A. Kimberley will have just two days in which to complete the ten craziest challenges before gearing up for all the excitement of exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Kids’ Choice Awards and all the celebrities - including reporting from the Orange Carpet at the Awards Show.

“This is one of my biggest dreams come true. I can’t believe I’m heading to LA and rubbing shoulders with some of today’s hottest stars AND reporting back to all Nickelodeon fans in New Zealand. Actually, it’s three of my biggest dreams come true – I’m packing my bags now!,” she explains.

As part of the Kiwi excitement in the build-up to the awards - screening Saturday 17 April @ 8pm on Nickelodeon NZ (SKY channel 041) viewers will be given the chance to win tickets to an exclusive advanced screening event, hosted by Kimberley. Information on how to enter will be available on the Nickelodeon website (www.nicknz.co.nz) from Monday 22nd March.
