Inflight entertainment aside, the international flight can be a mixed bag. I recently flew to Melbourne and two hours into the flight, after the complimentary liquor had ran dry and the "yay! isn’t flying grand" vibe had evaporated, the collective cabin mood was starting to sully.
Recalling the Readers Digest mantra of ”Laughter is the best medicine”, I decided to spruce the situation up.

Turning to a passenger two rows back I yell,”HI -JACK…..fancy seeing you here". Who would have thought that one mans ‘chuckle’ is another mans breach of section 15 of the Aviation Transport Security Act (2004). Upon my arrival, I was pulled aside by Airport Authoritarians and asked to explain my shenanigan. To which I responded, the ‘confusion’ was clearly a bi-product of my twangy kiwi accent and all that inflection malarkey.

I had not said "HI -JACK…..fancy seeing you here?", but what I had actually said was "CIRCLE-JERK! …Is on the 29th of May at Flow Bar, and will showcase 15 legendary Hamilton bands covering other legendary Hamilton band’s songs. Hopefully see you there!".

The Aviation Authoritarians had to concede. After all ”fush ‘n’ chups" had thrown them on more than one occasion and thus my 'explanation' was not without merit.
