New Zealand’s Social Media Challenge

New Zealand’s Social Media Challenge

Social Networking has been a hype in the world ever since the market realized they could make money off taking their products and services to the networks and communities that were forming online.

Inter-generational relationships and Social Media Expert 19 year old Eva-Maria is opening up the opportunity to New Zealanders to ask and receive answers to their questions about Social Networking. And she is presenting New Zealand with a challenge: Starting at 12pm on Friday 11th June, 2010, shes inviting people to ask their most burning questions about Social Networking in the time frame of 101 hours.

When the time is up, Eva-Maria with the help of other Social Media Experts in New Zealand will answer the first 101 unique questions, compile into an e-book, and distribute this again, with the help of Social Media and contributors to the final product.

When asked how this project came about, Eva-Maria commented Ive had so many people come to me asking about what in the world things like Twitter is, and I figured the easiest way would be to bring everyone together. The thing is, there are so many answers and materials about social networking overseas, but not all those concepts are applicable in New Zealand because of our size, buying habits, selling ethics, and many other things. This will be a genuine Kiwi project, helpful and applicable for the people of today, in this country we live in. Having said that, Im expecting that theres bound to be certain questions that a gazillion people will ask, and itll be great theyll get the answer to that question, and many others through the e-book. Whats more, is that with the help of this amazing thing called the internet something like mass distributing an e-book like this in just a couple of hours is completely possible! Im ready for the challenge I hope the rest of New Zealand is ready with their questions too!

To follow on from the challenge, workshops, coaching and mentoring programs will be put in place for those wanting to take on extra help to start building their Social Networks for their own purposes.

A workshop in Wellington in July is already in the plans, and the one-on-one mentoring packages are a new concept that have attracted businesses and entrepreneurs around New Zealand over the past couple of months.

The 101 answered questions in 101 hours Challenge starts 12pm Friday 11th June.
E-books will be distributed after 5pm Tuesday 15th June.

Then he studied film-making and got Badlands out just before he was 30. More>>
