TV3's Modern Family A Big Hit At Emmy Awards

TV3's Modern Family proved the big television winner at the 62nd Primetime Emmy Awards today, after scooping three golden statuettes.

As well as taking home the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series gongs; Modern Family walked away with the top prize of Outstanding Comedy Series.

C4's Breaking Bad continued its Emmy success with Bryan Cranston
winning the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series award for the third consecutive year running. Aaron Paul added to the Breaking Bad award tally after he took out the category for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series.

Edie Falco confirmed her reputation as one of television's leading actresses by being awarded the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for TV3's Nurse Jackie; Emmy newcomer Archie Panjabi won Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for TV3 drama The Good Wife; Jane Lynch proved she is a crowd favourite as the irrepressible Sue Sylvester when she romped home to win Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for the TV3 hit show, Glee.

The TV3 cooking programme Top Chef took the top honours for Outstanding Reality Competition Programme.

Such success at the Emmys confirms TV3 and C4's commitment to bringing New Zealand audiences the best international television entertainment possible.
