Finalists announced at World Kapa Haka Competition [Te Matatini Society Inc]

The competition at the World Kapa Haka Festival, Te Matatini o Te Ra 2011 just got hotter.

The final nine teams to battle it out for best Kapa Haka group in the world are:

1. Te Pou o Mangataawhiri
2. Opotiki Mai Tawhiti
3. Te Hokowhitu a Tū
4. Te Matārae i Orehu
5. Ngāti Rangiwewehi
6. Whāngārā mai Tawhiti
7. Te Waka Huia
8. Waihīrere
9. Te Whānau ā Apanui

Competition starts at 9.00am and the winners will be announced between 3.30-4.00pm.
