Ticket sales for his Christchurch show on May 12 are suspended, awaiting advice on an alternate venue.

Meanwhile, in Auckland, after the May 9 show at the Bruce Mason Centre in Takapuna sold out, another was added on May 23, which has now also sold out. And an additional show has been added to the ASB Theatre at The Edge on May 17.

Danny Bhoy, one of the most sought after comedians working in the world today, returns to New Zealand with a national tour, headlining the annual NZ International Comedy Festival in May - performing in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch (pending venue), Hamilton, Hastings, Invercargill, New Plymouth and Oamaru.

2011 welcomes Danny¹s return to our shores with a brand new show, Messenger (please do not shoot). http://www.dannybhoy.com/blog/ Described by one critic as ³the stand-up equivalent of Bill Bryson², Danny is a truly international comedian who is a master at uncovering those little quirks and idiosyncrasies about a country which others seem to miss. His new show ŒMessenger (please do not shoot.)¹ comes fresh off the back of a hugely successful tour of the UK performing in theatres up and down the UK, and filming a special one-off set at London¹s famous Apollo Theatre for the BBC. As always, audiences can expect more hilarious yarns from the globetrotting Scot, who regularly draws on his own life experiences as a source of rich comedy fodder.

³Bhoy remains in a class of his own.² The New Zealand Herald ³Subtle. Intelligent. Perceptive. And very, very funny.² The Scotsman ³He creates a remarkable intimacy with his audience. A must-see.² The Age, Australia Danny Bhoy clips: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GjdlJIBSL0&NR=1
