New Zealand’s only academic arts school for school-aged children will this weekend stage its own version of SLEEPING BEAUTY.

The school – in its 10 year and having produced some world-class actors, dancers and musicians – will open its doors to the public for this very special production.

Students have gone on to achieve posts in Boston, Vienna, Sydney and London and is described by Auckland University’s School of Music head Professor Robert Constable as "A school that punches well above its weight"

“We are very proud to have developed such amazing talent,” says school arts director David Selfe.

The National Business Review has listed The Corelli Academic School of the Arts in the top ten Arts Organisations in New Zealand.
The Current production of 'Sleeping Beauty', keeps the audience on its toes! It’s buckets of fun for the whole family!

SLEEPING BEAUTY WITH A TWIST: Welcome to the Land of Entertainia where everything is pretty and pink and life is always rosy! That is until the king and queen forget to invite evil Carabosse to their daughter Aurora's christening. Carabosse in her fury casts a wicked spell that when the princess turns 16 she will prick her finger on a spinning wheel and die. Fortunately our beautiful princess has a magical fairy Godmother; she casts a counter spell that means the princess shall not die but fall into a deep sleep, only to be awakened by her one true love. Will she find her one true love? Will Carabosse's evil plan be thwarted? Will life in Entertainia be rosy once more?
