Registrations for workshops Digital Body Art and Advanced Airbrushing will also close upcoming week on Friday 22 July. Please note that the price for the Digital Body Art workshop price is now adjusted, now up to $95 less payment.

Airbrushing workshop

Airbrushing is an art form which allows you to create the most delicate and precise paint designs possible. It's is one of those skills you can always put into practise, for example in customisation of cars, fashion, surfboards and musical instruments.

You can learn all about airbrushing at our beginner's workshop, regardless of your skill level. You will explore the basics of airbrushing, and engage in some practical hands-on work. We also offer an advanced airbrush workshop for the more experienced, which will set you up with useful and inventive techniques to help you create like a real pro.

Wounds, Horror & Gore

Saturday 23 & Sunday 24 July

This 2-day workshop will set you up with all special effects and painting techniques needed to create the most wonderful gore. Get started with fake blood, latex, skin gels, modeling wax and more to make people look sick, dead or demonic.

Learn how to apply makeup effects and special materials on the body to create all sorts of 3D wounds. Surprise everyone around you with your most realistic and horrific creatures for halloween parties, carnivals, your own horror movies, or just for fun!

Hairups

Take hairdressing to the extreme and defy the laws of gravity with the Hairups workshop! This course will teach you everything about the secrets of hairups, but also takes hairdressing a step further, as you will also learn about adding all kinds of hair-accessories. Moreover you can have lots of fun with extreme wigmaking.

Your creations will be in a photoshoot by Geoffrey Heath, a professional photographer. A great addition for any portfolio!

Digital Body Art

Discover the extraordinary world of digital body painting and virtual SFX makeup with Scott Spencer of Weta Workshop in Wellington.

This workshop will teach you the basics of ZBrush, a revolutionary program for digital sculpting and painting. It provides all the tools needed to complete the 2D or 3D body art concepts you have in mind, in an very short amount of time. You will use program features to plan out a body paint design on a 3D male or female body.

Anyone can do it! After this workshop you can create your very own unique 3D designs in a revolutionary fast and adjustable way, saving lots of time and effort. This is how they do it in the film industry!
