Concord Dawn to Release The Race to Zero E.P on July 25

MEDIA RELEASE: Wednesday 13th July

Concord Dawn to Release The Race to Zero E.P on July 25th

New Zealand’s finest and Drum & Bass veteran Concord Dawn aka Matt Harvey is set to release a new hard-hitting E.P, picking up where his recently released fifth studio album, The Enemy Within, left off. The four-track EP, titled The Race To Zero is set for digital-only release on July 25.

Harvey treats listeners with the uplifting opening track ‘Hindsight’, featuring the beautiful vocals of rising star Nina McSweeney. Track 2, ‘Samba Impossible’ takes things into the more familiar realms of dirty tech-infused Drum & Bass with funked up mid-range, clattering drums and cool samba percussion to spice things up.

Next up ‘Hush’ intros with soft pads drifting over a crispy break and a creepy vocal sample that sets the mood perfectly. It’s then left to the final song on the E.P ‘1925’ to finish us off with a heady mix of kettle drums, deep and deadly bass and an offbeat glitch riff that catches you off guard before burrowing its way inside your head.

As prolific as ever, with a discography full of untold classics, Concord Dawn yet again delivers a set of sound system smashers for audio slaves the world over. In support of the release Concord Dawn is setting off on a series of live dates. Kicking off in Queenstown, Harvey takes the show on the road via Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, and Greymouth.
