Westfield 5 Minutes Of Fame Kicks Off

This school holidays head to your local Westfield to see talented young Kiwis showcase their singing, dancing and musical talents at this year's 5 Minutes of Fame. 5 Minutes of Fame returns to Westfield shopping centres across New Zealand today and its set to be bigger than ever!

Judges and audience are expected to see some of the most talented Kiwi talent in the history of the popular talent show with registrations double those of 2010.

This year voting has been opened up to the public with the nine centre finalists' videos uploaded to the Westfield website. The contestant with the most votes will shine as the 5 Minutes of Fame supreme winner!

As well as the chance to be rocketed to stardom, the supreme 5 Minutes of Fame winner will take home an incredible $1,500 tuition grant.

This year's contestants are in to win a share of $20,000 worth of prizes including Westfield vouchers, iPod shuffles and iTunes gift cards. The talented winner from each centre heat will win an iPod Shuffle and the centre's final winner will receive a $500 Westfield gift voucher alongside the chance to be crowned the 5 Minutes of Fame 2011 supreme winner.
