Parents Centre and HRV commit to educating NZ households

MEDIA RELEASE 21 September 2011

Parents Centre and HRV commit to educating New Zealand households

Parents Centres New Zealand Inc and healthy home ventilation specialist HRV are pleased to announce their official partnership for the coming year.

HRV and Parents Centres share common values in caring for healthy homes and healthy families. Through this partnership, both organisations hope to educate New Zealanders on the importance of a healthy home and the need for a higher standard of housing for kiwi families.

Bruce Gordon, chief executive of HRV, says, “We believe this will be a fantastic partnership which will see both organisations joining forces to teach young families about healthy homes.”

HRV is the market leader in ventilation services with over 100,000 customers in New Zealand. The company is active in its communities, employing and contracting over 400 people, across 20 franchises nationwide.

“We spend a lot of time in houses throughout New Zealand and have seen the first-hand effects of condensation, asthma and allergies, as well as various air quality issues associated with New Zealand's damp climate.

“Our new partnership with Parents Centres will enable us to educate young families early on about the health effects caused by cold, damp and poorly ventilated houses.”

Parents Centres is the leading provider of childbirth and parent education in the country. Its broad network supports parents and their children through 50 Centres nationwide.
