Auckland, New Zealand, 26 September 2011 - World renowned talk-show host, Michael Parkinson, is teaming up with the Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, for a special one night only performance on February 15, 2012 at Auckland's Vector Arena, and local Visa debit, credit and prepaid cardholders have the opportunity to purchase advanced tickets.

To secure your ticket to this one night only performance, a special Visa Entertainment pre-sale starts at 9am local time on Monday 26 September until midnight Tuesday 27 September. Presale ticket details are available at www.visaentertainment.co.nz

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 9am on Wednesday 28 September with ticket prices ranging from $99 to $155.

Paying tribute to music in movies, Parkinson, will share his love of the silver screen and the stars that make it shine, with his own unique brand of wit, charm and banter.

While the APO hold the audience captive with music by composers such as John Williams, Lalo Schifrin and Henry Mancini, Parkinson will regale them with memories and stories of his interviews with the stars of these classic movies.

Joining Parkinson on stage will be Australian-born vocalist Jo Lawry, most recently seen by hundreds of thousands of fans across Australia and New Zealand when she shared the stage with Sting on his recent tour.

Parkinson has interviewed 3,000 of the world's most famous people on his talk show Parkinson which started in 1971 and ran for a total of more than 20 years on BBC TV and ITV. His silver screen guests included such luminaries as Jimmy Cagney, Orson Wells, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Stewart, Sean Connery and Woody Allen.
