NZ Body Art Showcase Winners Announced!

The ASB Theatre in the Aotea Centre was brought to life tonight with the 6th NZ Body Art Showcase, out-of-this-world creatures and incredible creations themed to Aoteroa Land of Long White Cloud.
The 54 artists involved this year came from all over New Zealand as well as from Australia, the Netherlands and Belgium. J Geeks and the Geeks who were painted by the Cut Above hair and makeup team for the show; and performed their songs ‘Maori Boy and Icky Sticky Love’. Joining them on the ASB Stage and hosting the event was MC Jo Holley, formerly of TV2 children’s show Squirt.

Te Oranga Kapahaka wore costumes from the New Zealand Movie ‘River Queen’; they performed with Fluoro poi’s to the famous Maori song ‘Poi I E’ and also performed a Maori Haka dedicated to the ‘Mighty All Blacks’.
