Dame Kiri Te Kanawa’s One-Off Concert Only on Maori Television

New Zealand’s megastar of classical music, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, returns to Auckland for one special concert with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra that will capture the magic of her stellar career.

Maori Television is proud to bring this rare event to your lounge in a 90-minute special, DAME KIRI TE KANAWA: A GALA CONCERT, on Sunday 23 October at 6pm.

The televised performance will screen exclusively on Maori Television before the live grand final of the Rugby World Cup 2011.

Presented by Maori Television’s Matai Smith, the concert will feature Dame Kiri and special guests including Kiwi baritone Teddy Tahu Rhodes and rising star Kawiti Waetford.

Dame Kiri says the eyes of the world will be on New Zealand and it is the perfect chance to showcase the depth of our musical talent.

Tune in to Maori Television on Sunday 23 October at 6pm to hear Kiri Te Kanawa in DAME KIRI TE KANAWA: A GALA CONCERT and stay on for the live grand final of the Rugby World Cup.
