Christchurch Author Amazon Top #10 Bestseller

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Christchurch Author Amazon Top #10 Bestseller

Christchurch author Oli Hille launched his Personal Development book “Creating the Perfect Lifestyle” just five days ago on November 11. The book has jumped into the Amazon Top #10 Bestseller categories “Motivational” and “Personal Transformation”. Hille has since been interviewed by two American radio stations.

“It was a thrill being introduced to radio listeners in Indianapolis as an international bestselling author.” said Hille. “Amazon has proved an amazingly powerful platform for me to engage the huge self improvement book market in the US, which is a multi-billion dollar per year industry.”

Hille is using a new sales strategy of selling his book on Amazon and Apple iTunes for just 99 cents (US). For a book that is 266 pages long, has 65 chapters and took seven years to write, it seems counter-intuitive to sell it for just 99 cents.

“Apple has made consumers accept that 99 cents is such a low price point, if you are even vaguely interested, you may as well buy it. As I expected, the 99 cent price point means that it is a simple impulse purchase for many people.”

Although Amazon’s sales figures are a day or two behind, Hille has sold many hundreds of copies of his book in just a few days. “This is absolutely the way of the future for authors” said Hille. “People are able to read my book within 60 seconds of seeing it online. Speed of delivery is critical for today’s buyers. Long gone are the days of hearing about a book on the radio or in the newspaper and ordering it from Whitcoulls and getting it two weeks later.”
