DNA Gay Ski Week QT – it’s a date!

New dates, some extra glam and a new media partner are to be celebrated along with gay and lesbian pride at this year’s DNA Gay Ski Week to be held in Queenstown New Zealand from August 25 to September 1 in Queenstown New Zealand.

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest Winter Pride event is organized by owners Sally and Mandy Whitewoods of Queenstown with the support of Australia’s best selling magazine for Gay men, DNA magazine and several Queenstown business partners.

Sally Whitewoods is absolutely delighted that she and Mandy have secured the event which is a well established ‘must do’ on the national and international Gay & Lesbian calendar.

“There is so much support for this event in Queenstown. People are delighted to see the event is definitely ‘on’ and we have had lots of help from people and businesses keen to make sure it is a success. There are some great ideas coming from partners such as Cardrona Alpine Resort, LOTL, Dorothy Brown’s in Arrowtown, Dux de Lux and our official home – Crowne Plaza Queenstown.”

Hundreds of gay men and women are expected to converge on Queenstown for a week of fun in the sun and snow as well as a full programme of events.

“This region is one of the world’s Top 10 regions to visit in 2012 according to Lonely Planet. As owners of Gay Ski Week Queenstown we want to add to that and make sure that for gay people this region is the number one place to visit for ski days and fun stuff in the evenings during this particular week. It’s about people celebrating gay pride, reconnecting with old friends and having a ball. Basically, if you have an itch that needs to be scratched with a bit of glitter and the odd feather boa or two then the DNA Gay Ski Week Queenstown is definitely for you.”

More details about the programme and the variety of events and accommodation on offer, please visit www.gayskiweekqt.com.
