International Craft Beer Brewing Legend jets into Wellington

International Craft Beer Brewing Legend jets into Wellington

Today (21st November) Kjetil Jikiun the founder and header brewer of Nogne in Norway (recognised as one of the top craft breweries in the world) is in Wellington to collobrate with Wellington urban brewery - Garage Project.

Nogne and Wellington's own Garage Project will be collaborating on a beer together. The idea is that we will brew it here in Wellington tomorrow on the Garage Project's 50 litre brewery, as a Christmas Summer Ale, and they will then Nogne will brew it back in Norway during their summer.

It's great for a Wellington brewery to be working with such a prestegous international craft brewery.
Nogne have a huge reputation overseas and it speaks volumes for the development of the craft beer scene in Wellington for them to come down and visit.

Nogne had it's own small beginnings, and they are looking forward to working on a smaller kit again!
You can read about their development here: http://www.nogne-o.com/brewers-story.html
