New Zealand Author Amazon #1 Bestseller

New Zealand Author Amazon #1 Bestseller

Christchurch author Oli Hille launched his Self Help book "Creating the Perfect Lifestyle" on November 11. Today his book became an Amazon #1 Bestseller.

"I have had authors from all over the world contact me and ask me how I did it" said Hille. "It has taken me two years of planning and hard work since I finished the book, just marketing it."

Hille's new sales strategy of selling his book on Amazon and Apple iTunes for just 99 cents (US) has been a huge success.

"Now that the book is a #1 Bestseller, doors are opening and the passive income is starting to flow. I'm about to increase the price by 504%, so I am finally going to get paid!" said Hille. "And I have just agreed to host a free webinar for authors wanting to use my process, so they can learn what I did. I have even decided to write a new Ebook "How to go from Nowhere to Amazon Bestselling Author in Less Than a Year" - but it's going to be a lot more than 99 cents! I need to get paid for my two years of hard work and research!"

Amazon uses a complex but real-time sales algorithm to calculate its Bestseller ranks. It uses an exponential moving average where recent sales weigh more heavily than previous sales. Amazon also re-calculates the rank hourly. "It's just like a billboard chart for authors" said Hille. "I have to watch every hour to see where my Bestseller rank is. And yes I have been up in the middle of the night a lot, just to check my rank! It's such an adrenaline rush - like a band watching their single climb the pop charts!"
