Childs says, “I am looking forward so much to singing in New Zealand. I am a Citizen of the Planet, and my purpose is to inspire, so I hope this visit will raise the fun level in people’s lives and blast the doors off the hinges to our personal cages of limitation!”

Toni says New Zealand fans hold a special place in her heart as they not only gave her six singles in the NZ top 40 and three multi-platinum albums (including the #1 album Union) – they have responded to her call to become truly an independent artist.

By the time Toni arrives for the string of shows, New Zealanders will have contributed more than $120,000 to fund the recording of the new album.

Toni says she is hoping to make music industry history by raising awareness and manifesting the means to complete and implement her vision to promote her album in 14 countries around the world entirely through fan support.

“My fans have always been the driving force behind my career, and this is what you always hope to do as an independent artist: grow, evolve, take chances, and fly. It’s been important to me to make an album that I felt is relevant to our time. I feel with Citizens of the Planet I can say I’m doing just that.”

For the last few months, Toni Childs and her band have been deep into writing and recording the new album, all while posting daily video streams of her recording sessions in Victoria, British Columbia, with producer Joby Baker, filmmaker and fiance Mik Lavage, as well as musicians Bear Erikson (guitar), and Chris Van Sickle (keyboards). All four will be joining Toni on the New Zealand tour with Joby playing Bass, and Mik mixing sound. (Join Toni in the studio at www.hawaiistream.com/video/464 )

On the sound of the new album, Toni says: “Hooking up with Producer Joby Baker was the missing piece in my evolution pie. I could not be happier with how the album is cooking up. I feel that I’ve stepped thru a wormhole - into a whole new vibrant sound.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Toni Childs in what will be an intimate concert experience!
