Yabba Dabba Do for Mussen and Flintstone

Yabba Dabba Do for Mussen and Flintstone

Paula Mussen left several more fancied combinations in her wake as she steered Meersbrooke Flintstone to victory in the horse grand prix at the one star Showjumping Waitamata Show at Woodhill Sands today (Sunday).

Mussen and Flintstone went double clear, coming home in 40.17 seconds in the jump-off, just .46 seconds ahead of second placed Katie McVean (Mystery Creek) on Dunstan Kiwi Iron Mark.

Twenty-three started the class, with just six through to the jump-off over the Bruce Wakeling-designed course. Five of those six notched double clear rounds, with time very tight between all.

Catherine Cameron (Cambridge) and I Reckon jumped their way into third spot, with Rosie Commons (Auckland) and Glendara Chandon fourth and Simon Gordon (South Auckland) in fifth on Simply Mitch.

In the pony grand prix Northland’s Nakeysha Lammers and Airborne Magic were comfortable winners ahead of Anna Cooper (Kamo) on Howzat Cracker Jack.
