PledgeMe - Party Time!

PledgeMe - Party Time!

PledgeMe.co.nz, New Zealand's number one crowd-funding website, has celebrated its unprecedented success with a party attracting hundreds of creative Kiwis.

The website was relaunched late January 2012 to help bridge the gap between creative projects and the funding they need to make things happen.

Wellington's 'Meow' came to life with performances by Jez Kemp and Chiara, Jeremy Mason, and Mangle and Gruff and party-go-ers also enjoyed Highly Flammable Ltd's mirror men and fire performers.

Website founder Anna Guenther and technical guru Camilo Borges are thrilled with the website's success. Guenther describes Pledgeme as being unique. "It's so exciting," she says. "This is something completely new for New Zealand and we've been blown away with the level of support we've had from creatives and people wanting to help turn their dreams into reality."

Already, PledgeMe has raised over $30,000 for creative projects in New Zealand, funding film, music, art, and writing projects.

What’s next? Coffee with Taika Waititi, an Outrageous Fortune star’s personal project, a feature film, and launch parties in Auckland and Christchurch in March.
