Westfield Truly, Madly, Hugely Billboard Winners

Media Release 14 February 2012

EMBARGOED UNTIL 4am Tuesday 14 February EMBARGOED

Westfield Truly, Madly, Hugely Billboard Winners Announced

Westfield has literally put love in the air with twelve Valentine’s Day messages unveiled today on billboards around the country.

Three marriage proposals (including a request to re-marry after eloping for a courthouse wedding ten years ago) make up this year’s winning billboards which have popped up around Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and Christchurch overnight.

Westfield’s Truly, Madly, Hugely billboard campaign gave New Zealanders the chance to break the mould and woo their Valetine in a truly unique way this Valentine’s Day. The most popular entries included marriage proposals, poems and simple ‘I love you’ messages.

Truly, Madly, Hugely is a great way to show a loved one how much they mean to you," says Linda Trainer, General Manager, Westfield New Zealand Shopping Centres. “Life’s too short to love quietly and Westfield is happy to help romantics shout a message of love to their special Valentine”

THE TWELVE WINNING MESSAGES drawn and now featuring from South to North are:

Annemarie. Babe, after a 'shaky' start to our relationship, you're my 'green sticker' all the way! LOVE YOU LONG TIME! Kerry
Riccarton, Christchurch (Billboard location: adjacent to Columbus Coffee on Riccarton Rd)

10 years ago we eloped in a Court House. Let's do it for real this time. Re-Marry Me Matt. Jennifer Purvis.
Queensgate, Wellington (Billboard location: 104 - 106 High St, Lower Hutt)

To My Valentine, As Complicated as it is, I Love You. It’s as simple as that. Wendy
Chartwell, Hamilton (Billboard location: Hukanui Rd)

Trish, will you marry me? Love Richard P.S. I told you it would be a surprise! Richard Barnes
277 Newmarket, Auckland (Billboard location: Morrow St)

Peter, Wish we'd met years ago, you’re a Sunday-drive for my soul, you turned this house into a home. Jo Morgan
WestCity, Auckland (Billboard location: Edsel Street off the Oratia Stream entrance)

Fletcher, being your co-pilot in life has been the best flight of my life. Kirsten McKenzie
St Lukes, Auckland (Billboard location: cnr St Lukes Road and Morningside Dr)

Leena, you’ve travelled across the world for me, will you take a few more steps and be my wife? David Sims
Shore City, Auckland (Billboard location: on building opposite Burger King)

Dave. To get something I never had, I had to do something I've never done. I'm glad I took that chance. Angela Metford
Pakuranga, Auckland (Billboard location: adjacent to library, Aylesbury St)

Mark. I wanted to buy you a Valentine’s card but this billboard was all I could afford. Happy Valentine’s Day. Johanna Wilkie
Manukau City, Auckland (Billboard location: on the Westfield Manukau City office tower facing out to Wiri Station Road)

Colin. We pledged our love long ago, since 1984 we've helped it grow, I love you more now, without your mo. Lisa Arundell

Since you've been stubborn about getting those glasses, I've made your valentine’s card easier to read. Love you. Jayson Urlich

Edmund, To my Valentine! You've got me on a rollercoaster of love and I'm enjoying the ride! Liz Ryan
