Klaus has been performing for nearly 60 years and has toured to 50 countries, but in 2012 he will perform his first concerts in New Zealand. His band Passport was formed 40 years ago and is one of the most celebrated live jazz acts in Germany.

National Jazz Festival director Arne Herrmann is delighted to have secured Klaus Doldinger and Passport and says he is pleased to also be taking the acclaimed musician and his band to Wellington.

“He is a true legend in Germany. He plays a unique melodious style which weaves beautiful haunting melodies with the infectious rhythms inspired by his trips to Brazil and Morocco. It really is a treat to have Klaus and Passport coming to New Zealand.”
