Haier Pulse Players Survive Shark Swim

Haier Pulse players passed their first major test of the season when they came face to face with some fearsome sharks on Saturday – and lived to tell the tale.

The fearless foursome of Amber Bellringer, Jamilah Gupwell, Victoria Smith and Caitlin Thwaites swam in the shark tank at the National Aquarium of New Zealand, Napier, following an appearance at the 2012 ANZ Championship Roadshow and Eastern Netball High Performance Programme held at Hastings Sports Park

Victoria Smith summed up the feelings of the players following their dangerous dip: “What an amazing experience! After putting myself outside my comfort zone by taking on the sharks, the ANZ Championship should be easy! It was a fantastic day.”

The Haier Pulse begins the 2012 campaign with a game against the Mystics in Auckland on 1 April.
