One Direction’s live DVD ‘Up All Night: The Live Tour’ has hit No.1 in an amazing 25 countries this week, including New Zealand.

The DVD outsold every music artist format this week, selling 76,000 copies, and making it the highest debut of 2012 and the 2nd highest debut of the past five years.

In Canada the DVD is No.1 selling twice the No.1 album this week. It is already the 2nd best- selling DVD of 2012 there.

The DVD is No.1 in the UK Official Charts with the biggest opening selling week one of 2012.

It is also No.1 in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.

Niall from the band says: "We're blown away by the success of the DVD all around the world and want to thank everyone who has gone out and bought it, the support means so much to us. It was lots of fun filming the concert for the DVD, so we're chuffed all the fans love it so much."

This amazing debut comes hot on the heels of One Direction’s massive US success as their debut single “What Makes You Beautiful” was recently certified double platinum (2 million sales). In March 2012, the group made chart history when their debut album ‘Up All Night’ entered the US Billboard 200 chart at No.1, making them the first British group ever to debut at No.1 in the US with their debut album release. ‘Up All Night’ is a worldwide success selling over 2.3million albums and charting at No.1 in 16 countries to date.

One Direction are currently on their 2012 North American summer tour playing 27 sold out shows. The tour hits San Diego and Las Vegas this week, and finishes on July 1 in Ft.

Lauderdale, FL. The band will return on December 3 for a special show at Madison Square Garden which sold out in less than 10 minutes.
