Bastille Day 2012: Masquerade and all things French

Bastille Day 2012

Masquerade and all things French

On July 14th, France will be celebrating La Fête Nationale also known as Bastille Day around the World. Since July 14th 1790, this date has been a day of National pride for French people, commemorating Fête de la Fédération which was held on the first anniversary of the storming of La Bastille.

In 2012, the Embassy of France to New Zealand and the Alliance Française Wellington are bringing back the tradition of the Bastille ball to the capital.

All French citizens based in New Zealand and members of the Alliance Française Wellington are invited to our ‘Bal masqué’ with the theme: Masquerade & all things French.

Celebrations will be taking place on July 14 from 6:30pm, at the Museum Building, Massey University. There will be music as well as food and drinks to be purchased throughout the evening!

Please see invitation attached (RSVP is essential).
