Buck is Back in Wellington!

Buck is Back in Wellington!

After a successful tour of the North Island Buck and his cultural canine compadres return to entertain Wellington families in the October school holidays with Around the World and Buck Again.

Through charming sing-along songs French poodle Fifi, British bulldog Horatio, Mexican chihuahua Dolores Del Mar and Kiwi sheepdog Buck will escape the quarantine kennels by dancing you a journey to their homelands with tales of French cuisine, grand English manors, and the love of a Kiwi farm. With such entertaining canines for company, no wonder Buck doesn’t smell a rat!

Actor, Adam Burrell, explains what it’s like to play sheepdog Buck, "It was quite a legacy to live up to! Buck already had a really big following; kids loved his character in The Farm at the End of the Road. Who thought I would feel pressure from a puppet! But I’m happy to say the responses have been great, it's so much fun to bring the character to life, everyday is something different and I always have a barking mad time doing it. The chance to play animals, totally devised and out of this world characters on stage is what I love about theatre for children. It’s always challenging and always rewarding!"

Around the World and Buck Again is written by best-selling author Jenny Pattrick, performed by a talented cast of four, Phil Grieve, Jessica Aaltonen, Belinda Wylie, and Adam Burrell, and directed by Kerryn Palmer – Capital E National Theatre for Children brings you the perfect entertainment for young imaginations these holidays.
