Williams to miss Fast5 World Netball Series


Captain Casey Williams will miss the inaugural 2012 Fast5 World Netball Series 9-11 November to make further progress in the rehabilitation of her left knee.

Fast5 Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu confirmed Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit will be called into the team of ten to replace Casey Williams.

“It’s great to be able to have Te Huinga Reo available for Fast5 she provides the team with another valuable defensive option”, she said.

Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit, was part of the silver medal winning FastNet Ferns team at last year’s World Netball Series in Liverpool.

Laura Langman will now captain the Fast5 Ferns for the Fast5 World Netball Series.

The Fast5 Ferns will assemble in Auckland on Wednesday in preparation for the Fast5 World Netball Series. The Fast5 Ferns first game is: Friday 9th November, 6.30pm, Fast5 Ferns v Jamaica
