But what makes something funny?

But what makes something funny?

Join presenter Jaquie Brown and the team from the hit online show Auckland Daze as they attempt to provide the answer at our final Writer’s Room of 2012.

Jaquie facilitates discussion and demonstration with writer/producer/actor/comedian Millen Baird, actor/comedian Fasitua Amosa, actor/stunt performer Glen Levy, director/producer/actor Keil McNaughton and actor/producer Kerry Warkia about being funny under pressure.

Throughout the evening there will be opportunities for you to participate, with great prizes to be won including a ticket to next year’s Big Screen Symposium for the funniest audience member!

And if you’re not that funny in person you have the chance to cut your way to the Big Screen Symposium 2013 with your editing skills. Teams will compete live on the night to cut the funniest scene out of footage provided. Winner decided by audience vote. Email info@script-to-screen.co.nz to register interest in competing.

This event is for all film and TV folk – so come along and celebrate the end of 2012 together, have a slice of pizza on us and a drink or a few.

Drinks 7pm, 7.30 Start, Tuesday 27 November, The Classic, 321 Queen Street, Auckland, $5 koha appreciated.
