Uni Shorts entry deadline 30 November - 2 weeks to go!

JUST TWO WEEKS to go to enter your Short Film & Animation Works for UNI SHORTS 2013.
The deadline to enter your short films for the 2013 Uni Shorts International Student Film Festival is approaching on 30 November 2012 so get cracking and enter now!

All students attending or recently graduated from film, fine arts or animation school or attending a university or polytechnic institution offering film and animation related courses are eligible to enter. All you need is a short film that fits one of the genres below, is 20 minutes or under in duration, and was entirely student made as part of a course of study between March 2011 - November 2012. Also make sure any copyright material used on your film has been cleared (eg. music soundtrack). Easy! Get your entry form signed off by a supervising teacher or tutor at your school, then send us your film.

Enter online at www.unishorts.unitec.ac.nz or fill out the attached entry form and send to us with your DVD screener and payment to the postal/courier address below.

There will be some great prizes and an exciting programme lined up for Uni Shorts which will be held at the Unitec Institute of Technology in Auckland on 13-14 April, 2013. Uni Shorts is the only tertiary film festival of its type in Australasia and this year we have added a new secondary schools category for New Zealand Schools only (FREE ENTRY)!

We accept short film entries in the following four genres:

1. narrative (fiction)
2. non-fiction (documentary)
3. animation
4. non-narrative (experimental).

There are seven prize categories:

* Best film (undergraduate)
* Best film (postgraduate)
* Best Documentary
* Best Animation
* Best Non-Narrative (Experimental)
* Best Overall Film
* Best NZ Secondary School film*

Entry fee:
NZD$40 to enter one film
NZD$100 for three or more film entries from the same school.
Announcing new NZ Secondary Schools category - open to NZ high schools only (Free entry)

Deadline for all entries is 30 November 2012.

We accept any entries received after 30 November 2012 that are postmarked on or before 30 November.

If sending from outside of New Zealand, please ensure your package is marked NO COMMERCIAL VALUE on the customs sticker.
