Bring all the family to Christmas at the Zoo

26 November 2012

Bring all the family to Christmas at the Zoo

Mrs Claus, Rudolph, the Christmas Fairy, angels, elves and special guests invite you to join them for a fun-filled Christmas celebration at Auckland Zoo this Sunday 2 December from 5pm-7pm.

A concert at the band rotunda will feature children from the 12 Days of Christmas pantomime, who will perform some of your favourite Christmas songs with live band, The RaZoos. Youngsters from the Kids for Kids Christmas show will get the whole family in the festive spirit with dance performances and Christmas tunes.

Guest of honour, Santa, will of course be part of the celebrations with everyone, including starring in the Singing Santa show.

Along with the Christmas concert, there will be face painting and bouncy castles for the kids to enjoy.

Plus, because Auckland Zoo is about to celebrate its 90th year (on Monday 17 December 2012), Christmas at the Zoo will be inviting everyone to share in our 90th birthday cake.

Animals are also being remembered at this time of celebration and goodwill. For a gold coin donation, Christmas at the Zoo goers can play ‘pin the tail on the zebra’. All funds raised will go to the Auckland Zoo Conservation Fund to help endangered animals in the wild, here in New Zealand and around the world.

Event details
Christmas at the Zoo takes place on Sunday 2 December from 5pm-7pm.

Tickets for Christmas at the Zoo are available from Eventfinda, at 09 360 3805 or in person at the Zoo’s Information Centre.
