Titanium To Headline Rotorua’s New Year Celebrations

New Zealand’s hottest boy band Titanium have today announced that they will be performing in Rotorua as part of GLO, Rotorua’s new three-day New Years festival.

The record breaking group will headline the free family friendly event, Party in the Park on 31 December. The event will feature local entertainment and will include ground level fireworks earlier on in the evening for families and children to enjoy.

The three-day festival commences at midday on 30 December, 2012, and finishes on 1 January, 2013. It will also include a Street Fair, R18 Street Party, huge midnight fireworks display off the shore of Lake Rotorua, a big brunch and lots more. It is similar to other New Year events held over several days around the world and makes the most of the full range of activities and attractions that the Rotorua region has to offer.

The Rotorua District Council’s Major and Community Events Coordinator, Kylie Gunn, says that she is thrilled to have Titanium perform as part of GLO Festival this year.

“GLO has been created with family in mind enabling visitors, the local Rotorua Community and businesses to celebrate together. There is a great fit with Titanium, especially with popular band member Jordi Webber being from Rotorua”.

“With three days of action packed activity planned already we hope that having Titanium here in Rotorua will only make the festival bigger and better. Rotorua is already an exciting and friendly destination but we expect that it will be the place to be with your family this New Year”.
