Aces batsman to play in the Bangladesh Premier League
Aces batsman Lou Vincent has been given leave from his Aces playing contract to play in the Bangladesh Premier League.
Vincent will leave New Zealand immediately to take part in the competition that is already under way but will return for the Aces Ford Trophy one day campaign that gets under way in late-February.
Auckland Cricket CEO Mark Cameron said that it was a practical decision given the Aces upcoming schedule.
"We've got a solid diet of four day Plunket Shield cricket coming up for the next month and realistically we now regard Lou as a short form player so it makes little sense to potentially have him sitting on the sideline when he could be getting quality match practice elsewhere."
Vincent will team up with the Khulna Royal Bengals squad in the BPL for the duration of the competition which runs until the 19 February.
