Bigger than ever, but still, the smaller the better

Tora Music Festival 2013

Bigger than ever, but still, the smaller the better.

Family, friends, food & coffee, funky Wellington sounds and camping on a rugged remote coastline! Not to mention surf, coastal kids' activities, salty air and our great summer weather. What more could you want this Easter long weekend?

Bringing all that good stuff together was the idea behind the family-friendly boutique coastal music festival, Tora Tora Tora. Neil and Lea Bramley, started the festival four years ago with Andy Miers and a group of musician friends. Since then it has grown and Tora Tora Tora 2013 will include an impressive line-up of well known and up-and-coming names from the Wellington Music scene.

Based on a stunning block of land opposite Tora Point surf break and surrounded by natural bush, TTT music festival offers three nights camping, a weekend of live music , beach life and kids activities.

TTT 2012 festival-goer and top NZ chef, Al Brown, felt TTT was unique because of its size and family friendly feel. “It’s like a rite of passage. This is the first time we have brought our kids to a music festival and its nice to start on this scale, rather than parking a kilometer away and walking into a big mosh pit”.

Musician, Lisa Tomlins, who will perform at TTT 2013 said, “It’s stunning out here, absolutely beautiful, it’s got native bush and people with a lot of space, but it feels like a village.”

Keeping the festival small and intimate is important to organisers and Tora Tora Tora 2013 will have limited tickets with no gate sales.

“We started this festival to enjoy good music at our awesome spot on the Tora coast where we have lived for years. It’s such a special location it is great to share it and bring quality musicians in from our world class Wellington music scene. Tora Tora Tora 2013 is set to be the biggest yet, but not too big , as the magic is that by the end of the weekend everyone knows each other”, said organizer, Neil Bramley.

TTT 2013 runs from Friday March 29th to Monday April 1st, buy your tickets soon to avoid disappointment. Tickets: $95, kids 12-and-under FREE.
