News release:
Thursday 14 March 2013

SIX60 APRIL TOUR
TWO MORE SHOWS SELL OUT,
TWO SHOWS ADDED

Six60 has announced another two sell out shows - Napier & Christchurch just weeks after the announcement of their Australasian Tour late last month.

Four of the eight shows on offer have now sold out, prompting the band to again add another two shows to meet fan demand. This is the second time they have added shows after the first Auckland, and Christchurch shows sold out within days.

A second Napier show has been added on the afternoon of Saturday April 6 as well as a third show in Christchurch in Wednesday April 17, both shows open to all ages to cater to the band’s younger fans.

Six60’s Matiu Walters says he’s looking forward to hitting the road in NZ for one last time this year before the band head to Europe for six months to release their debut album.

“Touring and playing live is what we really love to do, and we’re looking forward to revealing some of our new material, as well as of course playing the crowd favourites”.

Six60 has also teamed up with theaudience.co.nz to find a local support act in each city of their New Zealand April tour: Wellington, Napier x 2, Auckland x 2, Hamilton, Christchurch x 3 and Dunedin.

It’s easy to enter – create a profile on theaudience.co.nz, entry is via the Artist Dashboard. The competition starts 9:00am Thursday 28 February and closes 5:00pm Friday March 22nd 2013.

The winning acts will be announced via Six60 and theaudience.co.nz’s facebook/twitter pages on the Monday prior to show date.

There will be a different opening band chosen for each of the ten gigs.

Tickets for the afternoon Napier show go on sale Friday 15 March and are available through for purchase through Ticketek. – www.ticketek.co.nz.

Tickets for the new Christchurch show on Wednesday 17 April are on sale from 9am today from NZTix – www.nztix.co.nz.
