Media release – for immediate use

The Easter Bunny Is Up To His Old Mischief Again
Over 2000 Eggs To Be Found At Central City Hunt

The Easter Bunny will once again be making a stop in Wanganui this year on his delivery rounds. On Saturday 30 March he will be paying a visit to Majestic Square during The Great More FM Easter Egg Hunt where the Mainstreet and More FM teams will be hiding over 2000 Easter Eggs! The hunt for all that chocolate will begin at 9.30am sharp and is suitable for children aged between 18 months and 12 years. It will include a segregated area for children under 5 and children over 10.

There will also be a few special eggs that contain instant prizes instead of chocolate. Naturally the Easter Bunny himself will be in attendance to give children a fluffy hug and pose for photos. After all the Easter Eggs have been found the fun will continue with a hunt for bunny paw prints around the CBD. Collect a trail sheet from Majestic Square and then count up the bunny paws to figure out how many rabbits have visited the CBD overnight. Return your completed sheet to Majestic Square by 12noon to go into the draw to win an enormous Easter hamper full of gifts donated by participating retailers.

This is the second time Mainstreet Wanganui has staged an Easter egg hunt; this time with support from the team at More FM who will be running some fun on stage competitions for any early birds before the hunt begins.

Mainstreet Marketing Manager Elise Goodge says, “At the last hunt we had 1000 eggs, when we saw how quickly they were all found we knew next time we would need more so we have doubled it, with any luck we have ensured that no child will go home without finding at least one.”
