Lexus And Wellington Fashion Week Stop Traffic

Lexus And Wellington Fashion Week Stop Traffic

Lexus’ sponsorship of Wellington Fashion Week has already stopped traffic in the capital.

Announcing the sponsorship ahead of tomorrow’s event opening, Wellington Fashion Week Business Director Craig Mills says that Lexus was the perfect choice.

“We are ecstatic to align with Lexus this year. From the very outset we visualised partnering with a distinguished automotive brand who were also innovators, Lexus was the perfect fit.”

Lexus Marketing Manager Andrew Davis says Wellington Fashion week is a natural fit for Lexus which is renowned for its quality, excellence in design and craftsmanship.

“Lexus takes pride in its strong association with fashion internationally including this month’s Milan Design Week,” Mr Davis says. “Here at home we are thrilled to partner with Wellington Fashion Week which is a chance to showcase and celebrate New Zealand designers.”

Already the marriage of Lexus and high fashion in the capital has been literally “traffic stopping”, with Wellington’s Terrace Tunnel closed for the first time in its 50-year history for a Lexus photo shoot, captured by international photographer Tim Watson from Mckenzie-Watson photography.

Model Zoey Radford Scott posed in front of the Lexus GS350 F Sport in ‘liquid platinum’ to mark the collaboration of the two fashion-forward brands.

“When the opportunity arose to be part of the photoshoot, we were delighted to include one of our advanced Lexus models,” Mr Davis says. “It’s also great to be supporting young talent like Zoey Radford Scott.”

Visitors to Wellington Fashion Week will be able to see an onscreen preview of the new internationally acclaimed Lexus IS sedan, and get up close and personal with other Lexus models on site.

Wellington Fashion Week runs from April 3 to 7. For more information visit www.wfweek.co.nz.
