Draw Announced For Kiwi Ferns World Cup Campaign

Auckland, June 7, 2013 – It’s less than a month until the start of the Women’s Rugby League World Cup in England and the draw has been announced. It sees the Kiwi Ferns, who are the three-time reigning champs, meeting France first-up on July 5 before playing the hosts England, on July 8, and then meeting Australia on July 11.

The Women’s Rugby League World Cup final will be played at Headingley Carnegie Stadium in Leeds on Sunday, July 14. That’s part of a triple-header of matches, alongside the Police and Students’ World Cup finals.

The Kiwi Ferns assemble in Auckland on Saturday, June 29, for a final training camp. The next day they’ll be special guests of their major sponsors, the Vodafone Warriors, at their home match against the Brisbane Broncos. The Kiwi Ferns squad flies to the UK on Monday, July 1.
